The Flight of the Bumble - bee by Russian composer Rimsky Korsakov is well - known to everyone, and this season celebrates his 180th birthday. Rimsky Korsakov, one of the five most prominent “Alekseyevich” of Russian musicians, supports nationalism, as do other composers. In his early works, he made every effort to eschew typical Western compositional techniques while including traditional aspects. This event will feature his famous three post - production pieces, Capriccio espagnol, Trombone Concerto in B - flat Major, and Shéhérazade. In Capriccio espagnol, the composer asked the string orchestra to recreate the guitar sound that best reflects Spain, and the entire work is colorful and interesting. As one of the most popular concert overtures, Shéhérazadeis wealthy ofexoticcolors that quickly recall the enigmatic Eastern environment inTales from the thousand and one nights.Trombone Concerto in B - flat Majoris one of the few concertos in which a trombone plays the lead role. The beautiful melody played at the beginning of the trombone is eye - catching, with a combination of strength and gentleness, allowing people to appreciate this instrument's distinct style, which is primarily ensemble oriented. Greg Vull, who was born into a musical family and is the Chief of the Trombone of the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, will perform this work individually.
